Senior Home Repair Program A joint program between the Good Samaritan Center of Excelsior Springs and Clay County Senior Services have made possible new services for senior citizens in Excelsior Springs. The new program is the Senior Minor Home Repair Program. It will serve Northern Clay County, including Excelsior Springs, Smithville, Trimble, Holt, Kearney, Lawson, Mosby and Prathersville. Requirements of the program are that senior citizens must be residents of Clay County, age 60 or older. Seniors in the program must be homeowners with a current home owner's insurance policy. Seniors must meet specific Income Eligibility Guidelines Scale. Emphasis of this program will be on safety related repairs, minor electrical repairs, minor plumber repairs and minor maintenance problems. Unacceptable work projects for this program are indoor or cosmetic painting, gutter work, and yard work or lawn care.
