Helping the working poor and unemployable residents of Ray and Clay counties Good Samaritan Center has more than $125,000 in 50% Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits that are available until June 30, 2008 to qualifying Missouri businesses. Nearly 30% of GSC's annual budget depends on tax credit donations. When those donations do not come in, we are hindered in our mission. Last year we assisted over 1400 households, containing more than 3,900 individuals of which 41% were children. We provided $58,331 in utility assistance, $17,351 in rent assistance, and 199,440 pounds of food. The need is great, and we depend on supports like you to use tax credit donatins so we can access state funds to use for the poor. We need your support to offer a "hand up" to those in need. If your corporation has not already made a tax credit donation this year, we urge you to consider making a donation to GSC now. As always, your total contribution to a charitable 501 (c)3 agency is deductible on your federal tax return.
